Wai Whakatā Restorative Bathing is a one-hour self-guided bathing experience providing access to five restorative pools within the Wai Whakaora concourse.

  • Wai Whakaora includes seven distinct stages: Te Hihiri (Mauri Blessing Stone), Wairere (Waterfall Showers), Te Tukinga (Fire and Ice Caves), Te Taiwhanga Matua (Lake View Pools), Te Pae Paru (Geothermal Mud Lounge), Kohu Wai Ariki (Steam Room), and Te Ngao (Mauri Blessing Stone).

  • Choose Wai Whakatā Restorative Bathing if you are looking for a shorter self-guided geothermal bathing experience. Choose Wai Whakaora Restorative Journey if you would like to experience the full cultural wellness journey and all seven restorative stages.

  • Allow approximately one hour for Wai Whakatā Restorative Bathing and two hours for the Wai Whakaora Restorative Journey. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes before your booking time.
